Ode to the Audi Quattro

The Audi R8 is arguably the supercar of the year.

Using a 4.2-litre V8 engine, the Audi R8 rockets from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 187mph – it’s gone straight for the Porsche 911’s jugular as the best everyday supercar.

There’s so much demand for the £77,000 Audi R8 used models are going for more than £100,000 on Auto Trader.

Much of the Audi R8’s great performance is owed to its incredible handling – courtesy of the legendary Quattro four-wheel drive systems it employs.

The Quattro was born in the Eighties and was a brilliant Group B rally machine.
